Frequently Asked Questions
- How does the teleprompter work? Paste or type your script, then it scrolls over the live camera while you record. You can adjust speed, font size, opacity, and mirroring, scrub by dragging, and control speed live during recording.
- Are the effects applied to my video? Yes. Filters, beauty, background, face items, funny warps, and voice effects are baked into the recording as you shoot — what you see is what you get.
- Where are my videos and scripts stored? Recordings are saved to your device's Photos library. Scripts and settings stay on your device. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
- What does CueCam Pro include? A one-time purchase removes the watermark and unlocks 4K, unlimited recording length, unlimited scripts, all filters and effects, advanced beauty, backgrounds, face items, and presets. No subscription.
- How do I restore my purchase? Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. CueCam Pro is tied to your Apple ID.
- How do I delete my data? Open Settings → Delete All My Data to erase all scripts, presets, and preferences from the device. Deleting the app also removes all local data.
- Does CueCam use AI or show ads? No. There is no AI, no ads, and no tracking. All processing happens on your device.

CueCam is a local-first, private app. This Privacy Policy explains what data the app processes and the limited third-party service used for purchases.
Information You Provide
- Scripts you type or paste, teleprompter and capture settings, and saved presets.
- Video and audio you record using the app.
Scripts, settings, and presets are stored locally on your device. We do not operate an account system and we do not upload your scripts, videos, or audio to our own servers.
Camera, Microphone, and Photo Library
The app uses the camera and microphone to record your videos and audio, and requests permission to add finished videos to your Photo Library. Recording happens on-device; CueCam does not stream or transmit your camera or microphone to us or any third party. You can manage these permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
In-App Purchases
CueCam Pro is a one-time, non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through StoreKit. Apple may process payment, purchase history, and account information according to Apple's own terms and privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
Tracking, Analytics, and Ads
CueCam contains no advertising SDKs, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. We do not collect identifiers for advertising and we do not track you across apps or websites.
Data Sharing
We do not sell your data. We do not use your videos, audio, or scripts for advertising or model training.
Data Retention and Deletion
Your scripts, settings, and presets remain on your device until you delete them. You can erase all in-app data at any time via Settings → Delete All My Data, or by removing the app. Videos you saved to Photos are managed by you in the Photos app.
Children's Privacy
CueCam is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Acceptance of Terms
By using CueCam, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
License
CueCam grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use the app for creating and recording your own video content. You are responsible for the content you record and for complying with the laws and rights of others when filming.
Purchases
CueCam offers a one-time CueCam Pro unlock through Apple in-app purchase, which removes the watermark and unlocks all Pro features. This is a non-consumable purchase tied to your Apple ID and is not an auto-renewing subscription. You can restore it on any device signed in to the same Apple ID.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple according to App Store policies.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to use CueCam to create unlawful content or to infringe the rights of others. You are solely responsible for the videos you create and how you distribute them.
No Warranty
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that recordings will be free of defects.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss of recordings or data, arising from use of the app.
