1. Information We Collect

When you use KidGrow, we may collect the following information:

• Child profile data: name (optional), date of birth, gender, and height measurements
• Parent/guardian data: parental heights (used for genetic height prediction)
• Usage data: habit logs, sleep records, meal and supplement entries
• Device information: device type, operating system version, app version, and language preference
• In-app purchase records processed by Apple

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Generate personalised growth predictions and health recommendations
• Power the AI Coach feature (conversations are processed via OpenAI's API)
• Process subscription payments (handled by RevenueCat and Apple)
• Improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features
• Respond to your support requests

3. Third-Party Services

KidGrow uses the following third-party services, each subject to their own privacy policies:

• Apple (In-App Purchases & iCloud) — manages subscription billing and authentication
• RevenueCat — processes and verifies subscription status; may collect purchase metadata
• OpenAI — powers the AI Coach chat feature; conversation data is transmitted to OpenAI's API and subject to OpenAI's Privacy Policy

We do not sell your data to any third party, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Your data is stored on your device and, where cloud sync is enabled, in Apple's iCloud infrastructure. You can permanently delete all your data at any time directly within the app. If you delete the app without clearing your data first, your information will be removed within 30 days.

5. Children's Privacy

KidGrow is designed to be used by parents and guardians on behalf of their children. We do not knowingly allow children to create accounts directly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected data from a child without appropriate parental consent, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction — request that inaccurate data be corrected
• Deletion — delete all your data instantly from within the app, or contact us for account-level erasure
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Opt-out — we do not sell personal data, so no opt-out is required under CCPA

7. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the date at the top of this page. Your continued use of KidGrow after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using KidGrow ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2. Not Medical Advice

KidGrow provides general wellness and lifestyle information for educational purposes only. The App is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified healthcare provider with any questions you may have regarding your child's health, growth, or development. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay seeking it because of something you read in the App.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• KidGrow offers auto-renewing subscriptions (weekly, monthly, or annual) for access to premium features.
• All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store and are subject to Apple's payment terms.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law.

4. Apple In-App Purchase Terms

In-app purchases are processed by Apple and governed by Apple's App Store Terms and Conditions. KidGrow is not responsible for any issues arising from Apple's payment processing.

5. Licence Grant

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.

6. User Responsibilities

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
• You agree not to use the App for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
• You agree to provide accurate information when using the App.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KidGrow and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, loss of profits, or health outcomes — arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
