A silent, parent-led way to teach your child to read — short daily lessons where you say the sounds and your child follows along. Everything stays on your device.
Coming soon to the App StoreQuick answers to common questions about PhonicsPath.
PhonicsPath helps a parent teach a young child to read through short, joyful daily lessons. It follows a proven, parent-led phonics method: the app shows each step — a new sound, blending, word reading, a quick check — while you say the sounds out loud and your child copies you.
This is intentional. Children learn to decode best when a caring adult models each sound precisely. PhonicsPath keeps a clean, distraction-free screen and lets you be the voice — you say "mmm", your child says it back. A short in-app guide (tap the "?" on the home screen) explains exactly how to say each sound.
Everything — your child's name, chosen avatar, and lesson progress — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. PhonicsPath has no backend, no accounts, and never transmits your data anywhere.
Stage 1 is free so you can try the full experience with your child. A single one-time purchase, "Full Reading Path," unlocks every remaining lesson and decodable story. There is no subscription and there are no ads.
Open Parent Corner (tap the gear on the home screen and pass the grown-ups-only check), then tap "Restore purchase." Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple Account used for the original purchase.
All refunds are handled by Apple. Please visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
Open Parent Corner → "Your data" → "Delete all my data" to erase your child's profile and all progress from the device. Because everything is local, deleting the app also removes all data. Both actions are complete and irreversible.
Yes. PhonicsPath is designed to be used by a parent and child together. There are no ads, no third-party tracking, and no external links or purchases reachable by a child — purchases and settings sit behind a grown-ups-only gate. No data is collected from children or sent off the device.
PhonicsPath is built privacy-first — everything you enter stays on your device.
Effective Date: July 3, 2026PhonicsPath is built privacy-first. All data you enter stays entirely on your device — we have no servers, no accounts, and no cloud backend. We never see, transmit, or store your data, and we do not share it with any third party.
The following is stored locally on your device only, using Apple's SwiftData framework:
None of this is ever transmitted to any external server. There is no analytics, no advertising, no third-party data sharing, and no behavioural profiling.
PhonicsPath does not use the microphone and does not record, process, or transmit your child's voice. The child speaks to the parent, not to the app.
The optional one-time "Full Reading Path" unlock is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. PhonicsPath never handles or stores any payment information. Your purchase status is verified locally via Apple's StoreKit framework.
PhonicsPath contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising frameworks, no attribution tools, and no tracking of any kind. Our PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy file declares NSPrivacyTracking = false with no tracking domains.
PhonicsPath is designed to be operated by a parent or guardian alongside their child. The app does not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. Purchases and settings are placed behind a grown-ups-only gate. Because all data is stored locally on the device, it is fully controlled by the device owner — no child data is ever transmitted off-device or shared with us or any third party.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled in your iOS Settings, your device's local data (including PhonicsPath data) may be included in your iCloud backup. This is controlled entirely by your iOS settings and is not initiated by PhonicsPath. The app itself does not sync to iCloud or any other cloud service.
You can erase all your data from inside the app: Parent Corner → "Your data" → "Delete all my data." You can also delete the app to remove everything. Because we hold no data on external servers, deletion is complete and irreversible.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will note them in the App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

PhonicsPath is an educational app that helps a parent teach a child to read using a structured, parent-led phonics method. The app provides a guided lesson path, sound and blending activities, decodable words and stories, and gentle progress tracking.
PhonicsPath is intentionally silent: the parent says the sounds and the child copies. All content runs entirely on your device. The app does not connect to any server, AI service, or analytics provider.
PhonicsPath is designed for use by a parent or guardian together with a young child. Purchases and settings are placed behind a grown-ups-only gate. The app does not collect data from a child user.
Stage 1 is free. An optional one-time purchase, "Full Reading Path" (com.phonicspath.app.unlock), unlocks all remaining lessons and stories. It is a non-consumable purchase processed by Apple through the App Store — there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Pricing is set in App Store Connect and may vary by region; your local price is shown at the time of purchase. PhonicsPath does not process or store any payment information.
All refunds are handled by Apple. Please visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
If you previously bought the unlock, you can restore access any time via Parent Corner → "Restore purchase," using the same Apple Account.

PhonicsPath is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Every child develops at their own pace, and we do not guarantee any specific reading outcome or timeline.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PhonicsPath and its developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be noted in App Store release notes. Continued use of the app after an update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
